Three-year closure of Blackfriars Tube station raises commuter fears

Blackfriars, one of London's busiest tube stations, is to close for nearly three years while upgrades are carried out to the Thameslink main line which passes through the station. Blackfriars station is used by about 44,000 commuters and tourists every day. The overground routes will remain open at the station throughout the works.
